With the FCC’s kickoff of the second round of their telehealth reimbursement program on April 29th, it is clear that virtual care is here to stay.
“For over a year, health care providers have fought on the front lines of this pandemic and have had to rapidly innovate to support the health and well-being of all Americans,” said Acting FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel, “Telehealth has been at the forefront of this effort.”
Over $249 million will go towards supporting physicians by providing reimbursement of services necessary for telehealth as part of the CARES Act, allowing virtual care to continue to make tremendous strides in the healthcare industry.
The application window closes at midnight on May 6th.
